After a picture perfect summer
of sunny blue skies and warm temperatures. The sky's cloud over and
it turns cold for four days running now. It even rained. It
doesn't rain in California in the summer but it sure got wet outside this
week. The cool days have slowed my pumpkins down some, but they are
still chugging along and growing some every day.
Aphodite, my pumpkin with the fastest start,
slowed down early not wanting to spoil her beauty with excess pork.
She's still growing, however, and turning a lovely orange.
Athena marches on at 10 pounds a day -
nothing can stop her slow advance.
Hera, the unpredictable, strikes fear and
awe in all who behold her. She has taken on a massive form to humble
the lesser gods in her kingdom.
