How
To Calculate Probability:
Change the numbers in the Mean and StDev boxes to match the pumpkin being analyzed. Enter the beginning
and ending weight range in the Start and End boxes. The distribution is
redrawn and the probability of a offspring in that weight range is
calculated after hitting the return key while the cursor is in one of the
boxes.

Example
1: For the 723 Bobier
Mean weight equals 885 pounds Standard Deviation equals 223 pounds The probability of an offspring over 1,250 pounds equals 5.05% or about one chance in twenty. |
Example 2:
To find the probability of growing a thousand + pounder, enter 1000
in the start box and 1650 in the end box and hit Enter. There is a 30%
chance of growing a thousand+ pounder with the 723 Bobier.
